Rules for data use and publication

Data acquired through the QUALAIR platform originate from instrumental activities coordinated within the framework of the platform. This includes data produced by:

  • instruments hosted within the QUALAIR infrastructure (Pierre-et-Marie-Curie campus, Sorbonne University),
  • and instruments belonging to the QUALAIR instrumental pool, whether they are operated within this infrastructure or deployed off-site.

In all cases, these data are considered as having been acquired through the QUALAIR platform.

Informing the platform management committee

Any publication (journal article, conference proceeding, report, thesis, etc.) making use of data acquired through the QUALAIR platform must be brought to the attention of the platform management committee, at the latest at the time of submission.

This information can be provided simply by email.

Co-authorship of publications

Depending on the level of involvement of QUALAIR personnel in:

  • instrument deployment and operation,
  • data acquisition,
  • maintenance, processing or exploitation of the data,

co-authorship may be proposed.
This is discussed on a case-by-case basis, in coordination with the platform management committee, in accordance with standard scientific practices.

Acknowledgement of the platform in publications

Any publication using data acquired through the QUALAIR platform must include, at a minimum, the following acknowledgement:

“The authors would like to acknowledge the QUALAIR team and infrastructure for their scientific support. QUALAIR is an observation platform of the OSU Ecce Terra of Sorbonne University operated by LATMOS with the support of IPSL.”

This acknowledgement contributes to the visibility of the platform, the recognition of the collective work involved, and institutional reporting of its activities.
